I did the same thing with stir fry once and kept thinking, 'What the what? why does this taste so weird?" and then I realized my mistake... which is truly a tragedy, because zucchini are so CONSTANT and cucumbers are so awesome. My favorited recipe this summer is grilled mixed veggies with zucchini, onions, peppers, tomatoes and sugar snap peas.

When I saw you post I thought for sure you had forgotten the levening, which I have done. Cucumber bread?? We all need to laugh at our mistakes. The peach tree is full of quickly ripening peaches so I have to come up with some peach recipes. Jam for sure, maybe freeze a few, then what? Got any good suggestions?Brucenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1448913029864487555.post-47798800679343301882011-08-11T15:26:24.599-07:002011-08-11T15:26:24.599-07:00Both recipes look so good! I can't eat zucchini at all. I won't even have a polite few bites. We had it 24/7 in the summer and thanks to the large freezer in the basement, most of the winter as well.

We had it mostly boiled, which is gross, but also stuffed, grilled, baked, cookies, cakes, breads and the most horrible thing my mother ever made (which honest takes a lot) zucchini pizza.

I want to like it, I want to try it new ways but I just can't do it. Ugh.

I can however, eat cucumbers by the basket so maybe I would have liked the first batch?Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14758907424817534569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1448913029864487555.post-63767915813175954112011-08-11T11:50:09.250-07:002011-08-11T11:50:09.250-07:00Haha, that is awesome....I have to admit, I though...Haha, that is awesome....I have to admit, I thought maybe she used a cucumber instead of a zucchini but didn't pick up that it was a cucumber in the photo.

Just think now we know that a cucumber does not make a good muffin :)Lauranoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1448913029864487555.post-36229389291890659592011-08-11T11:45:17.921-07:002011-08-11T11:45:17.921-07:00So funny.
