Fashion Friday - one dress, three ways

As my size adjusts and the amount of clothes in my closet shrinks, I've been focusing on versatility.  It's surprising how a single item, paired with the right accessories, can go from scruffy-comfy to elegant-refined.

So today, instead of creating imaginary outfits for you, I thought I'd show you three real outfits, culled from my closet.  And each of the outfits features the same centerpiece dress, styled for different occasions.

Here's the dress, solo.

Jade-gray maxi dress by Target

Here's a laid-back look for a trip to
The Farmer's Market

Hoodie by Target
Gladiator sandals by Payless
Bracelet by a glassblower on Murano in Venice, Italy
Amber earrings by Miner's Gems and Minerals, Old Town San Diego
Sunglasses by Brooks Brothers

Here's a casual outfit for a chilly evening at
A Bonfire Barbecue

Denim jacket by Lane Bryant
Scarf by a local accessory shop
Wooden sandals by Torrid
Bracelet and earrings by Lane Bryant

And here's a dressier combination for
A Night at the Theater

Wrap by Nordstrom
Beaded sandals by Silhouette
Necklace by Lane Bryant

I'm off to do some preparation for tomorrow, our second go at our dinner party series, "Dining Under 600."  So keep your eye out next week, when I'll have photos and details of our Indian celebration!  Until then - you know the drill - take care of you!
